Orders for repeat items can be made in the following Ways, our preferred method is online which is the quickest turnaround usually 24 hours not including Weekends and Bank Holidays:

1. Place your paper request in the prescription box in the lobby (Car park side main Entrance) due to COVID Clinics you can only use this method between the hours of 08:00 and 15:30; Generating of prescriptions order in paper form takes longer so please give 48 hours for your prescription to be processed at the practice and further 24-48 Hours for your pharmacy to process.  Online methods are much quicker and we can turnaround prescriptions within 24 hours not including weekends and bank holidays.

NB Changes to the service, we will be suspending the repeat prescribing request via this website in the near future, patients now need to register at the above Patient access website.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

NHS charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

Prescription charges will increase by 20 pence from £9.00 to £9.00 per item or appliance dispensed. The cost of prescription prepayment certificates (PPC) remains at £29.10 for 3 months or £104 for 12 months.

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
