Home Visits

Home visits are available for those patients who are housebound and patients far too ill to attend surgery.
To define a person who is Housebound they are not able to leave their home at all
If you require a Home Visit please, if possible, please telephone the surgery before 11am, as this is the time when the doctors plan their rounds.  Please expect to be asked by staff the nature of your illness and a contact telephone number. The GP may call you before they make a Home a visit to discuss your symptoms.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
